SANTA ROSA County, Florida (WPMI) – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a man in Milton, Florida was killed in a traffic accident over the weekend.
This happened at about 10:50 am Friday morning on State Road 87 south of Allentown Road.
FHP stated that JR Welch, 68, was driving north in SR-87, approaching the Allentown Road junction when he tried to pass another car heading north.
FHP said Welch’s car was pulled to the right at this point and bounced off the paved road, causing it to collide with several trees in the forested area.
Welch was taken to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he died as a result of his injuries in the accident.
