July 25. (UPI) – A Florida man filmed carrying an alligator to the store to buy beer, said the trick was just a harmless joke.
The video, which went viral after Robbie Stratton posted it on Facebook, shows a man carrying an alligator to the Safeway Discount Beverage store in Jacksonville. “You have no beer, huh?” Stratton speaks in the video. “Does he take the last piece of beer? You’re not taking your last beer, are you? ”
The man then chases shoppers around the store with an alligator.
The alligator shopper told First Coast News that the stunt was “a lot of fun and play. I knew everyone present. ”
Stratton said he remembered nothing about the incident, as he had drunk a lot that night. He said he didn’t know where he got the alligator.
It was unclear if this trick violated any laws.
