Robbing a bank may seem easy on the big screen, but in real life it isn’t. And for the adventures of a Florida man, definitely not. On Wednesday, an unknown person could have attempted a movie-style bank robbery in Pembroke Pines.
The FBI is investigating a tunnel leading to the Chase Bank that was discovered by a community service crew, NBC reports 6.
According to NBC 6, a winch, a wagon and a small generator were found inside the 50-yard tunnel.
“We don’t know who is behind this at present, they could have been here a week ago, last night, we don’t know now, but this is a big hole,” FBI Special Agent Michael Leverok told reporters. …
The police sent the corpse of the dog into the burrow in search of people, but found no one.
The tunnel could have collapsed due to heavy rain, so it is safe to say that whoever occupied the tunnel did not make a grand flight with bags of money. According to FBI special agent Michael Levereaux, authorities are calling the incident an attempted robbery.
