Police said Monday that a Florida man, desperately trying to get his hands on beer, used hot dogs and a corn stick to attack a gas station clerk.
Kavan McDaniel, 35, threw hot dogs and poked an employee with a corn dog stick at a Petro gas station in Marion County, officials said. McDaniel’s bizarre outbreak allegedly began after a clerk refused to sell him beer. It is unclear what was the reason for this clerk.
“The victim had a red mark under his eye due to the attack of a corn stick,” the sheriff’s office said.
Surveillance video recorded a man, identified as McDaniel, throwing a hot dog at a clerk.
McDaniel was accused of touching the battery or being hit. He also violated his probationary period in Pascoe County.
He is being held in prison without bail.
