PORT ST. LUCY (CBSMiami) – A Florida man is in jail for trying to pay McDonald’s with a packet of marijuana, police said. Port St. Lucie police say 23-year-old Anthony Gallagher walked through, drove through around 2 a.m. on Sunday and tried to trade his bag of marijuana for food. The McDonald’s employee refused, and Gallagher left to return after a while. Police said they noticed a heavy dose of marijuana coming from the car and found about 11 grams of marijuana on Gallagher. The police did not find this funny and charged him. possession of marijuana and drunk driving.
Gallagher told police that he offered drugs in exchange for food, but did so as a joke.
